We recently celebrated the success of our Year 13 students who completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) last year. Thirty students in Year 13 worked on their projects throughout Year 12 and then submitted them last November. Students were awarded their grades by the examination board last Thursday. These results truly are worth celebrating as an impressive 45% of the projects achieved the highest A* grade, where every student was awarded a grade in the A*-B band.

So why is our 3-year GCSE course so important?
In our many years of experience in education, we find that the 3-year GCSE course offers many benefits to our pupils, in comparison with the 2-year course.
Bury Grammar School’s 2024 production of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory was certainly a sweet treat, transporting audiences to a world of pure imagination!
This term, our Year 13 students had the invaluable opportunity to participate in mock interviews conducted by a diverse panel of industry experts, including Bury Grammar School (BGS) teachers, alumni, and friends.
Bury Grammar School is proud to coordinate the School’s long-standing exchange, and this year marked the 69th Bury/Cologne Exchange.
