Here at Bury Grammar School we are incredibly proud of all our sporting successes, from National Champions and individual successes to our Sports Leaders and Elite Athlete Programme. Our pupils have enjoyed a wide range of opportunities, and in this academic year alone, there is much to be proud of.
What were the key strategic developments in 2024-25 and how did they impact on pupils?
We were thrilled to welcome over 100 alumni and friends of the School for a special evening marking the official launch of our BGS Alumni Association.
Bury Grammar School was nominated and then invited to perform at the National Theatre Awards, on the West End Stage!
On Monday 9th June, Mr Robert Potts, Assistant Chief Constable for Greater Manchester Police and Bury Grammar School alumnus (Class of 1989), presented the third in our series of Roger Kay Lectures, each delivered by high profile Manchester figures.

Bury Grammar School dates back to 1570, but the current campus was established in 1903 and is located in a leafy, 45-acre estate in Bury, Greater Manchester. We invite you to take a virtual tour to view our facilities.
