An exciting week for The BGS Sixth Form

An exciting week for The BGS Sixth Form

The sixth formers have been incredibly busy over recent weeks, working hard to produce UCAS forms of a high quality.

With over twenty applications already submitted, the Sixth Form boys and girls are excited to be receiving offers from The University of Bristol, The University of Liverpool and The University of Glasgow to name a few.

These early offers are the product of hard work by the students themselves and expert advice from subject teachers. In addition to this, the Sixth Form team held a UCAS ‘drop in’ last Saturday morning and all of the Upper Sixth have experienced an interview with professionals and experts from industry as part of the Mock Interview Morning.

All of our students attend a meeting with either the Headmaster or Headmistress ahead of submitting their application to discuss their choices and predicted grades. A further round of academic interviews are arranged for those students applying for Oxbridge and other highly competitive courses to prepare them for the next stage of the application process. We have high hopes for success in a diverse range of Higher Education courses including Business, Computing, Engineering, Geology, Mathematics and Zoology. With the UCAS deadline not until January 15th, it is fair to say that BGS students are once again ahead of the game!
