BGS Old Girl releases new music single with US Record Label Company

Bury Grammar School Old Girl, Jenny Tyson-Berry, has recently released a new music single with a US Record Label Company.

The 25-year-old, who attended BGS from 2004-2011, was spotted and signed by Totally Square Records, who are based in New York, following a singing competition she took part in on a cruise in Alaska.

She went on to co-write 'Born Yesterday' with them, which has recently been released on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon Music and CD Baby.

Jenny, who went on to study Maths at Manchester University after leaving BGS, said: "I originally chose to attend BGS due to the School's fantastic music department and choir.

"During my time at BGS I loved being a member of the School choir and orchestra, which led to amazing performance opportunities with the BGS Choir in Poland, Budapest, Hungary and Italy.

This had a massive impact on increasing my confidence in performing throughout my school years."
