Bury Grammar School has achieved the Bronze Eco-Schools award which recognises our achievement in working towards a sustainable lifestyle.
The Eco Schools initiative is a global project that encourages schools to reduce their carbon footprint by working towards common goals.
The BGS Eco Schools teams have been working hard throughout the year to make the school environmentally and economically sound.
Recently, there has been a whole school drive to reduce the school's energy waste.
Mrs Lynch, Eco-Schools Coordinator at BGS said: "Achieving the Bronze Eco Schools award has been a real team effort. It has been a pleasure to watch our young people take the lead on such an important issue. We could all learn a great deal from their passion, commitment and drive to create a sustainable and Eco-friendly school and planet."
Bury Grammar School will now be working hard toward the Silver Award!
