BGS hosts the AJIS Music Festival 2019

Bury Grammar School was delighted to host the AJIS Music Festival 2019 on Tuesday, welcoming eleven independent schools from across the region for this prestigious annual choir competition.

Wonderful choral music rang out across the whole of our Infant School as each group of children took to the stage in the impressive setting of our Infant hall.

Our Junior Boys performed Jesperson's 'I am a cat called Alexander' and 'Go the distance' by Alan Menken' in the morning while the Girls' Junior School performed 'Sing' by Gary Barlow and 'I am a small part of the world' by Sally K.

Albrecht and Jay Althouse in the afternoon. The standard was extremely high and we would like to congratulate all the choirs who took part to make this such a special occasion.

Well done to all of the schools involved: Bury Grammar School, Bolton School, Newcastle under Lyme Junior School, Oldham Hulme Grammar School, Abbey Gate College Infant and Junior School, Birkenhead Preparatory School, St Bede's Prepatory School, Withington Girls School and St Ambrose Preparatory School.
