BGS students participate in The Great Big School Clean Up

On Thursday, Bury Grammar School participated in The Great Big School Clean Up.

This is a national event, coordinated by Keep Britain Tidy.

The aim of the event, aside from the obvious benefits of looking after our beautiful school, is to raise awareness of the environmental issues associated with littering.

Our pupils, from infants to seniors, worked collaboratively towards a common goal to pick up litter.

This was a successful and enjoyable event, and one which we envisage becoming an annual event at BGS.

In other Eco Schools news, the Eco Committee is now working hard to achieve their silver award.

After a successful meeting with the Headmaster, Devin Cassidy, our Bursar, Jane Stevens and a representative from our governing body, the team outlined their plans for the future.

We have many exciting things in the pipeline as we aim to share our goal and our passion for making BGS a sustainable and environmentally sound school.

If you would like to support us on this very important journey, then please get in touch if you feel that you can help in any way. We would love to hear from you.
