BGS welcomes performance from up-and-coming band THE HARA

Bury Grammar School were very pleased to welcome up-and-coming band THE HARA on Monday afternoon as part of the Mental Health, Online Safety & Cyber Bullying themed school tour.

They performed for Year 9 and 10 pupils at BGS before speaking about mental health, online safety and a cyber bullying presentation, followed by a Q&A session and the chance for pupils to have autographs.

The HARA, formed in July 2017, are a lively energetic theatrical Alternative Pop Rock band. BBC Introducing have tipped them as the next big UK band.

‘Made To Be’ from their debut EP and achieved #2 in the official iTunes Alternative Single Charts.

Already they have completed two headline tours, and all band members were either bullied or cyber bullied as youngsters so feel they are the perfect advocates for delivering such a positive message to young pupils.

Zack Breen, guitarist in the band, said: "Performing at Bury Grammar was great, delivering a positive message through our music. We hope to see you all rocking out on tour."
