Book Club announce the results of this year's BGSG Book Award

Book Club is delighted to announce the results of this year's BGSG Book award.

Our 2019 winner is Things A Bright Girl Can Do by Sally Nicholls.

Things A Bright Girl Can Do tells the story of three teenagers who take part in the fight for women’s suffrage. Set against the backdrop of World War One, we felt that this book conveyed all the intricacies of the political and social situation whilst also creating three very believable and distinct characters. It's a compelling and emotive read - perfect for budding feminists.

Now in its third year, the BGSG Book Award is voted for entirely by students. From initial nominations to our final intense round of knock out style voting, girls have demonstrated true passion, dedication and maturity in the way they've approached our shortlisted books. This is a year long endeavor and we thank all the students who have contributed along the way. We look forward to reading your choices for next year's Award!
