Reception have been working hard to show us what they can do in a variety of challenges. They have been celebrating the amazing progress that they have made over this year, and have enjoyed sharing their successes with friends.
In preparation for Sports Day, the children have been honing their sporting skills with Miss Hall, ready for the competitions. They are ready and raring to go, and should the sunshine continue, it promises to be a super event for all of the Infants and Pre-School.
The children enjoyed a thought provoking assembly on Friday about Reducing and Recycling our waste. This is part of an Eco-Schools initiative that the children are getting involved in. Please discuss further with your children at home, about how you recycle and reduce your waste and the positive effects this is having. If there are any projects or activities that the children are involved in outside of school that support the protection of the planet, please send information in to the class teachers!
The children in Pre-School have been practising hard for Friday's Sporting events. We have been learning all about teamwork and supporting our friends, as well as how the events affect our bodies. The children have been showing off their amazing co-ordination and balance skills, and learning from each other.
During our number times, we have been hunting down special objects by following maps and recording our findings. This has involved positional language, directional language and counting skills. If you are out and about this weekend, you could make your own map of where you have been and what you have found. Please stick them in your talk books for us to explore.
We hope that you have enjoyed our sporting showcase this afternoon!
Please note that we have our term time BGS Bees groups from 9.15-10.15 on the following days:
