Founders' Day Concert held in Roger Kay Hall

Bury Grammar School pupils put on a brilliant Founders' Day Concert in the Roger Kay Hall on Wednesday evening.

The evening began with the Brass Ensemble's performances of 20th Century Fox Fanfare by A Newman, Gladiator by Zimmer, arr. Klaas van der Woude and Wallace & Gromit by Nott, arr. Downing.

BGSBeatz! then performed Shape of You by Ed Sheeran, arr. J Price before the String Ensemble's rendition of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by W A Mozart.

The Orchestra performed Themes from James Bond by M Normal & J Barry, before the Lads' Vocal performed Medley from Phantom of the Opera by Lloyd Webber & Stilgoe, arr. Lowjeski and This Is Me from The Greatest Showman, by Pasek & Paul arr. Huff.

The Joint Choir then performed A West Side Story Medley by Bernstein, arr. J Downing, and the Cello Solo was a performance of Rondo by Dvorak.

The evening concluded with the Concert Band's performances of Symphoni Marches by J William, arr. J Higgins and Soul Bosso Nova by Quincy Jones, arr. M.
