The Year 11 girls' Netball team were victorious in the end of season Bury Rally on Tuesday night.
In a round robin tournament against other schools from the Bury area, the girls remained calm and collected to win all their games against Woodhey, Elton, Bury Church and St Monica's.
It was a great team effort with some outstanding shooting and movement in attack by Molly Whitlow and defensive interceptions by Eve Armstrong.
This team have stayed as a collective unit for the last five years and have ended their season on a high.
Well done girls!
The team included:

U19 County Tournament at Cheadle Hulme On Wednesday 7th March
Congratulations to all the seniors who played in the tournament on Wednesday. The whole squad played some excellent netball, they made it through a tough section comprising of Altrincham, Bolton School, St. Bedes and Cheadle Hulme to reach the semi-final stages. They came up against very stiff competition from a competitive team from Oldham Hulme. BGS played exceptionally well especially in the second half but narrowly missed out on a chance to compete in the Final. Well done to all the girls it was a pleasure to watch you play.
Well done to the Year 9 Hockey Team who enjoyed 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss at the Year 9 Hockey Rally on Thursday 8th March 2018.
Year 10 Netball Bury Rally Tuesday 6th March at St Monica’s
The team played Bury Church, St. Gabriel’s, St. Monica’s in the round robin stages. They went through to the semi-finals where they came up against a strong side from Woodhey. However, BGS were far too strong a side and sailed through to the final. This meant that they again came up against arch rivals St. Monica’s. This proved to be a very tense affair with some extremely competitive netball being played by both sides. BGS held their nerve with some outstanding netball being played by all members of the squad to come out on top 7 goals to 6.
Well done to all the squad a truly impressive performance.
