It has been a hectic week in the Junior School with all sorts of events and activities taking place despite the dreaded flu virus hitting both a number of boys and staff alike! Monday saw Year 4 gain a valuable opportunity to learn all about the science of sound, as we were visited by a workshop. Boys completed experiments and made some rather tuneful instruments!
On Tuesday our athletes joined the girls in attending the AJIS Athletics event in Wigan. Pick of the bunch was Hakim Legall winning a silver medal, an impressive feat given the volume of competitors – 27 independent schools were in attendance.
I would like to remind parents of the Forum that is taking place on Tuesday morning next week. You are warmly invited to attend the event with myself to discuss all things BGSB Juniors and I look forward to seeing you there. Further details can be found on the letter attached to this email.
I am looking forward to welcoming schools from across the region to the annual AJIS Quiz tomorrow morning. Teams from other independent schools will battle against our boys and girls to be crowned AJIS Quiz Champions. It promises to be another excellent event that we are hosting in collaboration with BGSG.
A plea to all parents whose sons attend after school clubs. Could you please ensure that if your son is unable to attend a club, that the member of staff is informed with enough notice as possible. We keep careful registers of boys and need to check on their whereabouts if they are not present. Thank you in anticipation of your understanding.
Have a wonderful weekend.
