Science in Focus talk on fossils and rocks

Senior and Sixth Form boys and girls were treated to a Science in Focus talk on fossils and rocks on Monday.

Elspeth Wallace, a research student from The University of Manchester, gave an illustrated talk with fossil and rock specimens on 'Why Study Earth Science', one of the regular Science in Focus lectures.

She spoke about studying fossils and finding a T Rex bone that was over five feet long in America! She explained how studying Earth Sciences can lead to a wide variety of careers.

The School thanks Elspeth for coming in to speak to the pupils and students.
