The BGS Boys' Senior School held a Charity Bazaar on Wednesday in aid of Muscular Dystrophy UK.
A total of 20 forms participated by setting up their own individual stalls.
Some of the activities included a coconut throwing competition, a guess the staff baby photo quiz and a chocolate tombola.
The School received a letter from Mrs Ogden, a BGS Old Girl, who asked if both Bury Grammar School Boys and Girls could raise £900 for the cause as her grandson was suffering from Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy, the most severe form of this condition.
The event was organised by the Sixth Form Charity Committee, who held the same bazaar in the Girls' school on Tuesday 20 March.
The money raised by each form has been submitted to the School office and the form which raises the most money will win a pass to go first into lunch for a whole week.
The total raised was £268.92.
