Seniors and sixth formers welcome talk from Geo-environmental Consultant

We were pleased to welcome Katie Foster from RSK, an environmental and engineering consultancy group, in to school this week to talk to our pupils.

Boys and girls in Years 9 upwards were invited to come to the engaging talk where Katie, a Principal Geo-environmental Consultant, discussed her own background and the kind of work she does on a daily basis.

We all found the talk really interesting and it was particularly useful for the students to get to hear about how they could become involved in the field.

Our next talk is on the 8th March and will be delivered by students from the University of Manchester's Graphene group.

One of the members of this group, Professor Sir Andre Geim, quite recently won a Nobel prize so we are all looking forward to this talk!
