Swimming success for BGS girls at County Championships

Three BGS girls have recently enjoyed sporting success in swimming at county championships.

Emma Flannery (Year 8), won a gold medal in the 50-metre freestyle final at the Lancashire County Championships, with a personal best time of 28.85 seconds.

Lauren Bradley-Holt (Year 9), who also competed in the Lancashire County Swimming Championships, won gold in the 800m freestyle event in Liverpool. She also won bronze in the 200m backstroke event held in Manchester.

Lauren has qualified for the North West Regional Championships which will be held in May 2018.

Alice Robins (Year 10) won bronze medals in the 200m backstroke and 800m freestyle events at the Cheshire County Championships.

Well done to all of the girls, more sporting success for BGS!
