Other Events

DANGER! INFECTIOUS DISEASE!

Year 5 were on high alert after an outbreak of plague was discovered! Mr Minta and Mrs Melia were the first to fall victim to this dreaded disease but who knows who will be next? Please keep an eye out for high temperatures, mysterious maladies and black spots! As part of our Peasants, Princes and Pestilence topic the boys will be exposed to some highly contagious learning and are sure to fall victim to this fascinating subject.

Best foot forward

In Year 6, the boys have been making shoes out of clay as part of an ongoing design project. They have researched, designed and now made a model of their shoes. The next phase will be to create an engaging marketing campaign.

Shelters to the ready!

Both Scarlet and Burgundy have been super busy over the half term: each boy has created their own Anderson Shelter to create an amazing display. If your lego man needs a hiding place, visit our shelters outside the Junior Boys' School Hall. We will continue our learning of World War 2 by studying The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.

Road trip, USA!

Year 4 made a very exciting imaginary trip yesterday to the United States of America, care of BGSB Junior Airlines. After buckling in and enjoying a smooth trans-Atlantic flight, the boys began their rapid tour around 14 American States to find out the location of each state and the name of the Native American tribes that settled there. The boys used great navigational skills to find the key information and place their findings on blank maps of the USA. A super start to what we anticipate to be a very engaging topic.
