Year 10 Geographers in the BGSG Senior School enjoyed a day following the course of the River Bollin on Tuesday.
The group continued with their lucky streak of good weather and hit the jackpot with a gloriously sunny day, perfect for messing about in rivers.
Channel characteristics were measured and data was collected. Happily, no one fell in, although there were some wet socks!
As well as looking at features and landforms along the Bollin, the group also visited Sale Water Park to look at flood defences on the River Mersey.
A great day of field work ended with the obligatory and much deserved ice cream stop!
