Year 10 girls Nadia and Amber are set to abseil 128 feet down Peel Tower, Bury (in the dark!) to raise money for Savayra Foundation UK.
Savayra Foundation UK is a UK registered women’s education social development and empowerment charity working in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. The charity aims to empower widows, divorcees, orphan girls and other financially destitute women through skills, education and other poverty relief programmes.
Nadia and Amber said they realise not all girls are so lucky and so they want to help girls and young women who live in a country with less opportunities. The money they raise will help educate and train young women to make their futures safer and better.
The girls will abseil down Peel Tower on Saturday 16th March. The tower overlooks BGS.
