Five Year 11 boys have achieved a highly-prized certificate of merit in the UKMT Maths Challenge Intermediate Kangaroo paper.
Conor, William, Henry, William and Joshua sat the paper last month and received their certificates from Mr Cassidy in Headmaster's Assembly this week.
Only the top 6% of Maths Challenge entries - usually made up of the highest achieving maths students in schools nationwide - qualify to take the more advanced Kangaroo paper, with only a quarter of those students qualifying for a merit.
Consequently, it takes an excellent mathematician and an excellent performance on the day to qualify for a Certificate of Merit. For five boys to do so in one year group is an exceptional effort and they should be immensely proud.
