Year 7 boys visit 'Medieval York' on history trip

On Tuesday 26th June, Year 7 Boys went on the annual history trip to 'Medieval York', which consolidates what they have learned about the Middle Ages.

It was the hottest day in the 11 years of the trip but the boys kept cool as much as possible, showing great interest when visiting the magnificent York Minster, three sites maintained by the York archaeological trust and the central keep of the old York Castle, Clifford's Tower.

At the different locations, they learned how York Minster was built over several hundred years, tried on medieval armour, put people on trial or took part in a simulated archaeological dig.

There was even time for some much needed light refreshments before setting off back to Bury.
