Kindergarten Curriculum

We follow the national requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and closely monitoring the progress and interests of our children.

Our passion is individual and personalised learning, allowing us to enhance our environment and practice whenever and wherever required.

Children will develop through the seven areas of learning:

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Communication and Language
• Physical Development
• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding the World
• Expressive Arts and Design
We also ensure the children experience the excellent facilities of the Infants' gym and learning resource centre, and throughout the year the curriculum is further enhanced through school excursions and inviting outside sources in.

The Kindergarten day is organised around a balance of adult led and child initiated activities, both indoors and out. Your child will be encouraged to reach his or her potential in all areas of learning, using their interests to inspire a lifelong love of learning. Phonics and Mathematics are taught daily when the children are ready and these are linked to the resources available in our continuous provision. Opportunities for consolidation of skills is incorporated into the carefully planned activities provided on a daily basis.
