Bury Grammar Schools

Social Sciences and Computer Science Faculty

At Bury Grammar School, the Faculty of Social & Computer Sciences is a major contributor to overall success at both GCSE and A level.

With Business, Computer Science, Economics and Psychology on offer, students are given the opportunity to take a broad and exciting selection of subjects which not only further their academic knowledge, but equip them with transferrable skills which will help them in undergraduate study and in future employment. Studying the science of people can tell us a lot about the world beyond our own experience. Social scientists can help explain how society works - from the causes of UK unemployment, the impact of globalisation on business performance to the reasons behind aggressive behaviour. In addition, Computer Science equips students with essential problem solving skills through the practical application of theory and techniques.
