Pupils will have the chance to explore France, practise the language, and experience French culture while staying at the historic Château Beaumont. Nestled in 10 acres of peaceful Normandy countryside, the château is ideally located near a range of cultural and historic attractions.

We’re excited to be planning our long-standing German Exchange with our partner school in Cologne – now in its 70th year!

The Exchange offers a chance to experience German culture, make new friends, and practice language skills. No prior German is required, as hosts speak excellent English.

BGS pupils will travel to Germany in November 2025, accompanied by experienced staff. Highlights include:

• A day in school with traditional netball/football matches

• Visits to Bonn and Fantasialand Theme Park

• A hands-on morning at the Cologne Olympics Museum

• A weekend with host families.

An exciting residential trip, including a full programme of activities, has been arranged for all Year 4 pupils to take part in next year, at Dobroyd Castle. 

 

This fun-filled experience will offer confidence building ways to inspire, motivate and challenge Year 4 through teamwork and physical, outdoor activities!

Year 5 pupils will experience an exciting 3-day adventure to the beautiful seaside town of Llandudno!

 

Highlights include:

• Day 1: Conwy Castle, Britain’s smallest house, and seafront fun, followed by hotel games and activities.

• Day 2: Great Orme mines, pier, North Shore, ice cream parlour, and evening entertainment.

• Day 3: West Shore beach, playground, and a final group lunch before returning home.

This jam-packed itinerary is sure to create memories that will last a lifetime!

The Primary Division and Sports Team are excited to offer a Football Tour to Milan for all Year 6 pupils – no football experience required!

Pupils will enjoy:

We are very pleased to be running a ski trip for pupils in Years 7 and 8 to Tonale, Italy, in 2025.

This is the Year 7 residential opportunity to the High Adventure Outdoor Education Centre in Cowling, North Yorkshire.  Plenty of opportunities for adventure, excitement and team building.  A variety of activities will be chosen from climbing, abseiling, rafting, artificial caving to name a few.  This will be a two night residential, open to all Year 7 pupils, held during Enrichment Week 2026.
