Music at BGS

Music infuses every aspect of our Schools and is an integral part of every day.

Whether it be performances in assembly, performing at a community event or taking part in one of the plentiful concerts that fill our school calendar.

Bury Grammar School’s Music Department values all, whatever their experience and whatever style of music they are interested in and encourages them on their musical journey. 

We aim to develop the potential of every pupil, no matter what their ability.  Pupils with musical talent are encouraged by the whole school community to flourish and to achieve great things. The emphasis is firmly placed on diversity and versatility, which is evident in the varied and challenging music enrichment programme both within and outside of school.
