Bury Grammar School (BGS) are proud to announce that they have been selected to join the prestigious Lancaster Link scheme, marking the beginning of an exciting new partnership with Lancaster University.
Thanks to the School's close involvement with Lancaster University over the years, and the hard work of successive Sixth Form teams in forging strong relationships, Bury Grammar School is going to be one of fewer than twenty schools across the UK which form part of the Lancaster Link project. This recognition reflects the strength of the School’s academic provision, their commitment to widening opportunities, and their shared ambition with Lancaster University to support students in reaching their full potential.
This is potentially life‑changing news for BGS students once they reach Sixth Form.
What does being a Lancaster Link school mean?
It’s an exclusive partnership between Lancaster University and currently 18 other schools and colleges across the North West, designed to support progression to a top ten ranked, research-intensive university.
