Girls' Junior School
Welcome to Bury Grammar Girls' Junior School!
Our girls cannot wait for the exciting learning opportunities that lie ahead of them as they step into Junior School! We provide excellent teaching in a happy secure environment where all pupils feel valued. Education should be challenging and fun and we are thrilled to see that love of learning everyday. We are proud of how our pupils display confidence which enables them to gain knowledge, develop an enquiring mind and grow into independent learners in order to prepare them for the next stage of their education.
Set in an academically challenging environment which is vibrant and stimulating, the Girls’ Junior School challenges pupils and enables them to flourish. We nurture the whole child to ensure an all round holistic education with high standards.
We are committed to developing each pupil and nurturing their potential. High aspirations, quality teaching and outstanding pastoral care go hand in hand and we ensure our pupils are happy within their learning setting. The broad, enquiry based curriculum consists of Maths, English, Science, Humanities, Computing and Modern Foreign Languages as well as being supported by an extensive range of foundation activities in Art, Music, Drama and Sport. We take pride in their achievements. Our generous enrichment enrichment programme is outstanding and allow them to experience a wide range of activities and residential visits.
The Girls’ Junior School is a thriving, rich, fun filled environment where our pupils become more than ready for the next stage and challenges in their education. The result of a BGS Junior education? Every chance of succeeding and being happy at Senior School and in life beyond.
The Junior School teachers and support staff look forward to meeting you and showing you the fabulous achievements of our happy pupils.
