Feedback from Leeds Beckett University indicates that we are 'Excelling' in the competencies and framework used to assess schools.
We are also proud to be an IQM (Inclusion Quality Mark) Flagship School
The Inclusion Quality Mark Award provides UK schools with a nationally recognised validation of their inclusive practice and ongoing commitment to developing educational inclusion. The IQM team visits our school to evaluate and measure how we are performing; helping us to learn and grow.
Inclusion promotes equal opportunities for all pupils, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment, and background. Ofsted defines an educationally inclusive school as one in which the teaching and learning; achievements, attitudes, and well-being of every young person matter.
After retaining the Centre of Excellence status for three years, we are now extremely proud to have been recognised as an IQM Flagship School - the highest level of accreditation.

“There is a strong emphasis on listening to pupil voice and continually refining provision to meet emerging needs. This culture of care is recognised and valued by parents, who spoke extremely positively about communication, relationships with staff, and the presence of senior leaders at the beginning and end of school.”

The Verification Report awarding our Gold status mentioned the following:
"Leadership of diversity and inclusion permeates all the way through the organisation...and (has) a strong focus on wellbeing."
"The link between LGBTQ+ lived experiences and wellbeing/mental health has been explored and is understood by staff – there is a culture in the school where staff respect the pupil’s level of knowledge in this area and adopt a ‘ready not reactive’ approach to LGBTQ+ inclusion."
